What Roomlit is

Roomlit is a beta project run by an individual developer. In these terms, “we” means that developer.

Roomlit estimates when direct sun reaches an apartment, using the address, the floor, the floor plan and the buildings nearby. It is a beta: a test version that is still changing. We may change it, pause it or stop it at any time.

Price

Trying Roomlit is free. Having AI read a floor plan uses one credit. You get a few free credits without an account and more when you sign in; after that you can buy credit packs on the Credits page, which shows the price before you pay. Payments are handled by Stripe. Credits only buy floor-plan readings: the results, the walkthrough and the comparison are the same for everyone, and you can always describe a room yourself instead. A failed reading gives its credit back. Credits are deleted with your account. For a problem with a purchase, email us (see Contact).

Results are estimates

• Results are estimates. They have not yet been checked against measurements in real apartments. See Methodology & limits for how they are made and what is left out.
• Every day is treated as a clear day. Real days with clouds have less sun.
• Building heights, floor heights and window sizes are often guesses. If they are wrong, the result is wrong.
• Do not use a result as the only reason to sign or not sign a lease.

No warranty

Roomlit is provided “as is”, without any promise that it is correct, complete or always available. You use it at your own risk. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions you make based on it.

What you may upload

• Floor plans and site plans of apartments you are looking at (PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 10 MB).
• Photos of the outside of a building, to estimate window heights.
• Links to apartment listings.

Only upload things you are allowed to use. Do not upload photos of people, documents with other people's personal details, or anything illegal. What happens to uploads is described in Privacy.

Your data

Without an account, your apartments stay in your browser. You can delete them at any time with “Clear data on this device” on the Account page. If you have an account, “Delete account” on the same page deletes it and everything saved in it. Details are in Privacy.
